MASONERÍA Y SOCIEDADES SECRETAS DE LA " GRANDE ARMÉE " HACIA EL NUEVO MUNDO

National audienceThe masonery was born in Europe during the XVIIIth century. First, space of filosofical sociability, it meets, in a second time, a great success inside the armies as a society of mutual help on the battle fields. In this sense, masonery is quiet developed in the revolucionary and imperial french armies. Napoleon transforms it in a truely institution in order to support his regime. The comeback of the european monarquies means the control, almost the prohibition, of masonic debates in the old continent. Since then, part of the masones enters in politics. This intense movement occurs in a quite wide political convulsion during the first years of the Restauration. In the same time, several faraway wars develop themselves as, for example, the southamerican independences and the war of Greece. One can see that men, particularly napoleonic veterans, travel from one movement to another. We will, then, try to show the relations between these diferent events and the place of masonery in this time.La masonería nació en Europa durante el siglo XVIII. Primero, lugar de sociabilidad filosófica, conoce en un segundo tiempo un gran éxito en el seno de los ejércitos como una sociedad de ayuda mutual en el campo de batalla. En este sentido, está bastante desarrollada en las tropas revolucionarias e imperiales francesas. Napoleón la transforma de hecho en una verdadera institución, apoyo de su régimen. En 1815, la vuelta de las monarquías en Europa significa una puesta bajo tutela, casi una prohibición, de los debates masónicos en el viejo continente. Desde ese entonces, una fracción de los masones se politiza. Este intenso movimiento corresponde a la muy fuerte agitación política en la Europa de los primeros años de la restauración. Coincide también con guerras más lejanas: independencias sudamericanas o Grecia. Se constata que los hombres, en particular los veteranos de los ejércitos napoleónicos, navegan de un movimiento revolucionario a otro.
